Sustainability is in our nature
When Swedese was founded in 1945, quality was the guiding principle. Our furniture was meant not only to be beautiful enough to be loved for a lifetime, but also to be passed down from one generation to the next. That vision still guides us today.
We certainly know more today than we did in 1945. Over the years, new insights have expanded our understanding of what quality means. Today, it also includes protecting nature’s diversity and safeguarding the planet’s ecosystems. Working with sustainability isn’t a side project – it’s an approach we strive to let permeate everything we do. Every step of our process – from design to production, through material choices, sourcing, facilities, and transportation – is guided by the idea of sustainable quality.
